Okinawan Festival

The Okinawan Festival, averaging 50,000 attendees yearly, has become the most popular annual event of the Hawaii United Okinawa Association. The proceeds from the festival go towards supporting HUOA's mission of preserving and promoting Okinawan culture. In addition to food, music and entertainment, the festival also has a variety of activities for attendees. The Okinawan Festival Parade is one highlight of the event, featuring beautiful floats crafted by local artisans. Traditional Okinawan performers are also featured throughout the day and visitors can even experience a hands-on demonstration of traditional dance or taiko drumming.
